Working in the Fields

As we move towards the end of the year we may find ourselves thinking about our calling. It's a time when stress-creating stories about the need to know what our service is supposed to be come up…. Instead of sugar plums, visions of the “Great Success” we were supposed to be and never did, dance in our heads …. Feelings of inadequacy and failure accompany these stories.

I like to think of myself as a field laborer….

If someone were to ask me right now what I do in the world … I might say ….
“I work in the fields.”
“What fields?”
“The fields for cultivating consciousness.”

The way I see it, we are each designed to carry out some “labor” for the Cause of Consciousness.
I like to think that I work in, what could be called, the “Thought Repair Shop” (sort of like an auto repair shop, but for the ego mind)
People come to me with “broken thinking” and I help them find realignment.

When we ascribe belief to painful thoughts we find ourselves suffering from a breakdown of peace. Helping those who seek my services to attune to a Higher Frequency by clearing their belief in thoughts that create pain is my job.

It is not an obligation or a duty but rather my service or “calling”. I was “made” for the job. This doesn't make me “Somebody Special” … it's just the particular aspect of the Work for which I've been made to do. I don't wish for something more glamorous or to be known as someone “important” … I just give the task at hand my whole hearted attention and take pleasure in “doing a good job”.

You too were designed for a job “in the fields” – and there's a good chance you are already doing it – whether you know it or not.

Thoughts like, “I don't know why I'm here… I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing … or “I've failed my earth mission” are ideas that create a low frequency that actually attracts proof that what you're believing is true. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

There is no faster route to settling into your calling than to trust that what you're doing right now is part of it. Whether you're a stay-at-home-mom or working as a parking lot attendant; a CEO of a big corporation or a public school teacher, find joy in what you are doing NOW. That is how you bring yourself into right alignment with your Service. Your “job” is to show up right now in your moment to moment life. Give full attention to what you are doing right now. This is your life mission. Your life service is not something you have to “find” or “go after” – it is waiting for you to relax into “allowing it”.

Your immediate assignment is to recognize that you are where you are because it's PART of your path not because you are deviating from it. Find a way to accept where you are and what you are doing now. This is your work. We cannot get OFF the path to being ourselves. To believe that you are wandering aimlessly or stuck will simply keep you feeling those feelings.

Without judgment of where you are, you are better able to see how you are already on the Way to being what you came to be. Your present day to day life is part of the preparation. Participate fully in the experiences and lessons that your present life situation brings, whatever they are. That is your job.

“My path is unfolding through my daily doings” is an example of a higher frequency thought that aligns you with your work. Thoughts like this help you to “up” your frequency and manifest your calling.

Go about your day with confidence in Reality as being the way it should be right now. Find joy in the way things are and you will find all the evidence you need that you are on your path and doing what you came to do.

Blessings, Lynne
