Believe it or not, it is possible to experience peace and contentment even when we are in relationship with a “less than desirable” partner.

A shift in our own consciousness is all that is required. (Notice I did not say that it is our partners consciousness that must shift! :))

To experience such a shift in consciousness we must learn to perceive our relationships according to certain universal principles. One such law is the “law of mentalism” which is referred to in the Kybalion online as the basic tenet of metaphysics. The law of mentalism teaches that everything is made of mental energy. All form is a projection of the mind. In other words, thoughts become things. Things like situations and relationships make our thoughts and beliefs visible and verifiable.

Through studying the “law of mentalism,” I have concluded that we, as humans, are here on the earth plane to “flesh out,” or manifest our beliefs. One way we do that is by unconsciously producing a drama that verifies our thoughts and beliefs and casting others in roles to play the parts needed to “further our plot.”

I will have more to say on this later.

Blessings, Lynne

  1. This is so empowering, and freeing to realize. I seem to forget this principle regularly, so thanks for the reminder. Hopefully it will become engrained through practice.
