Burdened by Story

Like snow lying heavy on the backs of the grass in the field, causing it to bow to the ground in seeming defeat, our own stories lie heavy upon us.

Just as the sun melts away the snow leaving the grass once again standing tall in the light of day, we too are purified, our stories dissolved by the light of consciousness, leaving us to stand upright in healing alignment with Source.

So be it.

    Dear Lynne
As a student, i fully understood and am thankful for what you shared in the email.
As a fellow traveller on a very early stage of the journey, i wish to share my experience.
Many years ago, i was feeling miserable, unhappy and stressed but was not able see it- as it is… possibly due to complete and sustained self neglect, i had come to assume that what i was feeling was normal ….
To paraphrase it, i believe that due to immense lack of inner awareness, i did not see it as pain.. i was in sub/unconscious state of denial.
Feeling your feelings, if interpreted as … seeing pain as pain, hurt as hurt, seeing rescuer/persecutor position as victim-hood can trigger “conscious acceptance” and lead one on the road to recovery and healing.

  3. For me the question is what is the meaning and the purpose of my story? What is the purpose of the happiness the sadness? Why do i strive for this and not that?does it make a difference?
I find that when i think about it, i really don’t get any answers but just more questions.More inquiry and its frustrating.
What i find myself looking for is a logical explanation to everything that is.An Objectified answer that i can point out and hold on to as the right and only truth.I guess that is how i have learnt to look at life.
In a way i still want a story to hold on to the story because then who i be without it?

    1. Hi Tracy, yes, life is all ‘story’ of one kind or another.

My own explanation (from ancient truths) of life is this: There is a Universal Source or Cause that supports the universe and we are filled with, and/or emanations of that One Source. That One Source inhabits the eternal present moment and It is what gives us life and being. In other words, we are spirit inhabiting physical matter (a body) and we come to this physical plane of reality to flesh out our beliefs.

The thoughts we adopt and call “my beliefs” become the basis or foundation of what we manifest, of what we attract to us and what we individually see and experience. The world, then, is made up of our thought projections which are mirrored back to us through our projection-made-reality. In other words, the people and situations we meet in life are reflections of some part of our own belief system.

When we learn to look within to find an answer to the question “why?,” instead of looking to the external situation for the reason or cause, the world becomes suddenly more understandable and a much less scary place to be.

I have found this basic understanding of why things are the way they are to be the key to freedom and peace. I hope you find it to be equally healing for you.
      Blessings, Lynne
